Apprentice Anthropologist, directed by Takumã Kuikuro, explores the history of the director and his people in the Alto Xingu through his interactions with anthropologists Carlos Fausto, Bruna Francchetto, and Michael Heckenberger. The film centers on a role reversal, as the indigenous filmmaker documents and examines the relationships between anthropologists and indigenous peoples, shifting the traditional focus of ethnographic research.
