One Producer does not make an industry, and neither does one film.

To revitalize the Kenyan and East African film industry, and consequently enhance Africa’s representation in the global film landscape, it is crucial to actively discover and support African storytellers. Identifying and fostering talent, offering financial support, and showcasing their work on a local and international scale are imperative steps.

Docubox does this in our 3A’s mandate as Aggregators, Assessors & Allocators. DOCA does this by cultivating Africa’s documentary storytellers to reclaim and illuminate the continent’s narratives on the global stage through financial support (grants to producers and regional organizations) and direct and complementary knowledge building & sharing.
